There are many ways to generate leads for your business. You may acquire leads through social media campaigns, sales funnels, referrals, promotions, etc. For the most part, there is a cost, and it may not fit the budget of start-ups or micro-businesses. Leads are a necessity for the success of your business because it puts you in front of potential clients. It allows you to showcase your products or service and earn your business.

In this blog, I will demonstrate how I can generate leads for FREE through public records; I will generate leads for B2B purposes. For this example, I will be using Miami-Dade Business Tracker, and searching ALL new businesses and for their social media information or website. Here are three quick tips to generate leads for free.

Step 1: Search The Area

I searched for ALL businesses in a selected area, but you can select any specific industry.

Step 2: Locate A Business Tracker

Locate your local business tracker or local tax receipt website. I pulled the Miami-Dade Business Tracker (Miami-Dade Business Tracker (miamidade.gov)

Step 3: Social media Search

Then perform an online or social media search for an email or contact information on google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.

There are many other ways to generate leads through public records. This method is ideal for budget conscience businesses that are in the start-up phase. Once you have enough capital to spend on marketing, then additional options will be available. One last important piece of information is to respect any DO NOT CALL or DO NOT SOLICIT request.
