The Million-Dollar Idea: Cleaning Services
By Yhordan Serpentini | February 16, 2022
The million-dollar idea series tackles all kinds of ideas that we consider to be successful—either from big or small businesses—which means that it doesn’t necessarily need to focus on the “revolutionary” ideas, strictly. Any trending idea matters, this includes both products and services, which is why it should be no surprise that the next million-dollar idea, or in this case ideas— we’re analyzing are cleaning services.

What Are Cleaning Services?
Cleaning services are slightly more complex than what people make them out to be. When you think of cleaning services, the first type of service that might pop into your head is housemaid work or house cleaning. Though you are correct, there are a lot of different kinds of services to this million-dollar idea besides house cleaning. For example, there’s vehicle cleaning, carpet cleaning, maintenance cleaning, remedial cleaning, immediate cleaning, etc.
Why Are They Trending?
It’s no surprise why cleaning services are trending. To put it quite simply, we are very lazy people. If we ever have the opportunity to have someone else do something for us, we will almost always take it. Cleaning services are one of the best examples of convenience being the key to success. Consumers love convenience, especially something as tedious as consistent cleaning that can take up to several hours depending on what is being cleaned. Think of it this way, if you have the money and can afford to pay others to clean your house, office, car, carpet, or perhaps some graffiti on the side of your business’ building, or cleaning hospitals rooms, it can be VERY tempting to pay for the services rather than doing it yourself.
One thing you should really comprehend about trying to come up with your million-dollar idea is that you don’t need to build or create some revolutionary idea. The idea of cleaning services simply takes advantage of the laziness of others to make a profit. It’s nothing special nor mind-bending, it’s simply solving an issue by exploiting it. As you think about what your million-dollar idea is, try to think of any services or products that could solve an issue—at the same time the issue it’s solving does not have to be huge, just convenient enough to get attention.
